Wednesday, Nov. 14, was a great day for poets in The Dalles, with stories and poetry at the library with Native American storyteller Ed Edmo and a visit from Oregon Poet Laureate Kim Stafford, pictured speaking with students at The Dalles Campus of Columbia Gorge Community College prior to his poetry reading that evening. Stafford’s two-day visit was arranged by CGCC instructor Leigh Hancock, who chairs the institution’s writing and reading department.
