AFS FUNDRAISER: Fundraiser for Exchange Students: Ruby-red grapefruit, oranges, or half and half, 20 pounds for $25 and pecans, one pound bag for $15. SATURDAY BINGO: Bingo at the Mid-Columbia Senior Center, 1112 W 9th Street, The Dalles. Doors open at 4 p.m. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. All ages welcome (children 12 to 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian). New players encouraged to arrive by 5:30 p.m.

ALTAR SOCIETY: St. Peter’s Altar Society’s 40th annual bazaar. Reservations for table rentals are now open for returning 2017 vendors. Payment required by Aug. 1 to hold your space if desired. RED YARN: An energetic performance of folksongs and puppetry is at 11 a.m. at The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library in the children’s wing. Red Yarn (aka Andy Furgeson) is a Texas-born, Oregon-based family performer who weaves music and puppetry into high-energy shows for all ages. As Red rambles through the landscapes of American folklore, from the Deep Woods to the Old Barn, he introduces his “critter” friends — lovable, handmade puppets — along the way.

COSPLAY AS ART: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Teen Athenaum at The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library. Come learn from local cosplayers how they make their creations, the “rules of cosplay” and have fun with fellow geeks.

FOOD DRIVE: A food drive to benefit the Windy River Gleaners is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Dalles Aquatic Center, 602 W. 2nd Street, The Dalles. Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items to help those in need. Raffle tickets will be given out as part of the event.

Tuesday, November 20

CHRISTIAN YOGA: Yoga classes every Tuesday, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Gateway Presbyterian Church, 1111 Dry Hollow Rd., The Dalles. By donation, proceeds benefit the mission fund. Information on Facebook, “Yoga for Christ,” or email janellwyatt@gmail.com.
