A dedicated group of primarily local  Black Lives Matter protesters gathered Sunday at the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections  Facility (NORCOR) in The Dalles to protest the use of the facility by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a detention center. The group wrote messages — in chalk — on the sidewalk and sign of the facility, then marched to the corners of Sixth and Webber streets carrying a range of signs.
