Ghostly Dance

Anastasia Mitsky made some new friends just in time for Halloween. The 11-year-old and her mother, Katherine, conjured the circle of ghosts in their front yard earlier this week in anticipation of trick or treaters. “We always do the same thing, so this year we did it all different,” she said, before putting an arm around two of her new whispy friends. Webbed shrubberies, a black light, spooky spiders and lots of pumpkins line their staircase at 202 W. 13th St., The Dalles. “Thanks for beautifying the neighborhood,” said a woman passing by in her vehicle with the window open.
