Oregon State Police

Jan. 15, 8:50 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Highway 97 northbound, milepost 44, driver lost control of vehicle due to icy conditions striking a fence. Information was exchanged with the property owner and the crash was logged.

Jan. 15, 9:05 a.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, Highway 97 southbound, milepost 20. Driver lost control of vehicle due to icy conditions. The driver was cited for failure to wear a seat belt, child passenger not seat belted properly, no operator’s license, and driving uninsured. The vehicle was impounded and a report was taken.

Jan. 16, 10:19 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 105. Driver lost control of the vehicle due to icy conditions and was struck by a semi. The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. A report was taken.

Jan. 17, 12:17 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 116. Driver lost control of the vehicle due to icy conditions, struck a ditch rock wall and rolled over.

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

Jan. 15, 4:19 p.m. – Crew responded to the 1400 block of Union Street on a report of an unauthorized burning.

The agency also responded to six calls for emergency medical services on Jan. 14, nine on Jan. 15, and three on Jan. 16.

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Jan. 14 from the 2400 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported his vehicle was broken into and had some items stolen from within.

A male driver was cited and released for driving while suspended during a traffic stop Jan. 14 in the 1000 block of West 6th Street. A report was taken.

A hit and run report was taken Jan. 14 from The Dalles after a victim reported her vehicle was struck while she was in town.

Animal control responded to the 400 block of West 12th Street Jan. 14 on a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and taken to the local shelter, a report was taken.

Police responded to the 2600 block of West 6th Street Jan. 14 on a report of a weapons purchase denial. A report was taken.

A theft report was taken Jan. 14 from the 500 block of West 9th Street after staff reported an employee had stolen goods from the business.

A theft report was taken Jan. 14 from the 1000 block of Pomona Street after a victim reported she was involved in a scam.

A hit and run report was taken Jan. 14 from the 1200 block of East 11th Street.

Police responded to the 300 block of West 13th Street after a caller reported a male subject was on her property and was refusing to leave. Suspect was located and trespassed from the property. A report was taken.

A runaway report was taken Jan. 14 from the 200 block of West 10th Street.

An agency assist report was taken Jan. 15 from the 800 block of Home Court after assisting human services with an investigation.

A burglary report was taken Jan. 15 from the 900 block of Pomona Street after a victim reported his shop was broken into.

An assault report was taken Jan. 15 from the 1100 block of West 2nd Street after a victim reported she had been assaulted earlier in the month.

A theft report was taken Jan. 15 from the 300 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported an item was stolen from his property.

A criminal mischief report was taken Jan. 15 from the 600 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported her home was damaged after a suspect attempted to break into her home.

Timothy Tibbets, 21, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 15 in the 1400 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of recklessly endangering another person.

Police responded to the 2700 block of West 7th Street Jan. 15 on a report of a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with both subjects involved and it was determined there was mutual harassment between the two involved. Neither wished to pursue charges and they separated for the evening. Both were warned of their conduct and an informational report was taken.

Mary Margaret Urieta, 33, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 16 near East 15th and Montana streets and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct and two counts of post-prison violations.

Animal control responded to the 300 block of West 20th Street Jan. 16 on a report of a dog attack. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 1300 block of West 6th Street Jan. 16 after a store owner advised he has surveillance of subjects repositioning his security cameras overnight. An informational report was taken.

A lost property report was taken Jan. 16 from the 1200 block of West 6th Street after a caller reported her wallet was missing. The victim called back later in the day to report she found the wallet.

Wesley Lee Martens, 34, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 16 in the 700 block of Union Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.

William Dawayne Landers, 26, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 16 in the 1000 block of East 9th Street and is accused of three counts of probation violation.

Michael James Minson, 23, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 17 in the 1000 block of Irvine Street and is accused of felon in possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.

Wasco County

Terry Lee Douglas, 37, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 14 in the 500 block of Washington Street and is accused of contempt of court.

Scott David Gall, 42, Tygh Valley, was arrested Jan. 14 in Tygh Valley and is accused of violation of a release agreement.

Deputy responded to the 3400 block of Browns Creek Road on a request of a welfare check on a minor. Caller reported the student had been absent from school and believed he was being abused by family. The father was cited for harassment and a report was taken.

Deputy responded to the 900 block of Chenowith Loop Road Jan. 16 after a caller reported a suspicious subject near the saddle club. Subject was gone prior to arrival and an informational report was taken.

A trespass report was taken Jan. 16 from Pleasant Ridge Road after workers were blocked from leaving a worksite by a vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

Oregon State Police

An abandoned vehicle report was taken Jan. 14 from Highway 97 southbound, milepost 18. The vehicle was impounded.

Barbara Annette Baumgarnter, 39, Tygh Valley, was arrested Jan. 14 in Tygh Valley and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

Terri Lynn Burkhart, 61, Goldendale, Wash., was arrested Jan. 15 during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 87 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

An agency assist report was taken Jan. 15 after assisting Gilliam County with a vehicle pursuit.

Gilliam County

Shane David Clark, 25, Ontario, was arrested Jan. 16 during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 156 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle.

Alex Dean Hansford, 22, Arlington, was arrested Jan. 16 in Arlington and is accused of two counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.

Christopher Victor Dorzab, 24, Hood River, was jailed Jan. 14 on a court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Seth Andrew Stephen Covington, 43, El Cajon, Calif., was jailed Jan. 14 on a Sherman County court commitment for recklessly endangering another person.

Ashlynne Rochelle Danzuka, 25, Warm Springs, was jailed Jan. 16 on a court commitment for three counts of probation violation.

Lewalan Paul Sampson, 26, Dallesport, Wash., was jailed Jan. 16 after turning himself in on a local warrant for two counts of failure to appear.

David James Jacobsen, 36, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 14 in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of post-prison violations.

Wesley Lee Martens, 34, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 15 in the 1400 block of Lewis Street and is accused of probation violation.
