The Dalles City

Jan. 3, 12:44 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury crash, West 6th and Hostetler streets. Driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed her vehicle. Driver was cited for no operator’s license and careless driving. A report was taken.

Jan. 4, 4:33 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 800 block of East 2nd Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Jan. 4, 5:55 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 1700 block of West 6th Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Jan. 5, 5:39 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 400 block of West 3rd Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Jan. 6, 2:39 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, East 10th and Oregon streets. A report was taken.

Wasco County

Jan. 6, 9:03 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Dry Hollow and Olney roads. Driver reported he lost control of his vehicle due to black ice and struck a fence. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

Jan. 6, 7:12 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Mill Creek and Orchard roads. Driver was pulling a trailer and the unit began to fishtail causing the vehicle to jackknife and block traffic. The crash was logged.

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

Jan. 6, 5:41 p.m. – Crew responded to the 2200 block of East 13th Street on an unauthorized burn.

The agency also responded to six calls for emergency medical services on Jan. 3, three on Jan. 4, four on Jan. 5, and 10 on Jan. 6.

The Dalles City

A hit and run report was taken Jan. 3 from the 300 block of East 2nd Street.

Animal control responded to East 6th and Court streets on a report of two dogs at large. The dogs were located and lodged at the local shelter. A report was taken.

Levi Nicholas Lewis, 58, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 3 in the 600 block of Cherry Heights Road and is accused of second-degree criminal mischief.

Carrie Joann Jones, 56, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 4 during a traffic stop in the 2100 block of West 14th Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Jim Edward Pounders, 37, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 4 in the 1500 block of East 9th Street and is accused of harassment.

A burglary report was taken Jan. 4 from the 500 block of East 4th Street after staff reported the business was entered overnight and had several items missing.

A criminal mischief report was taken Jan. 4 from the 2700 block of West 7th Street after staff reported graffiti had been applied to the building.

A burglary report was taken Jan. 4 from the 2600 block of West 2nd Street after a caller reported a trailer had been broken into and had some items taken from within.

Police responded to the 1200 block of West 6th Street Jan. 4 after a caller reported that an employee was inappropriately touched by a customer. A report was taken.

Donovan Darbie Grant, 44, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 4 near West 7th and Snipes streets and is accused of probation violation.

Earl Carlisle McCormack, 27, Portland, was arrested Jan. 4 in the 200 block of West 10th Street and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal trespass, and post-prison violations.

A theft report was taken Jan. 4 from the 1000 block of Lone Pine Drive after a victim reported some items were stolen out of his vehicle.

A theft report was taken Jan. 5 from the 1200 block of Frost Court after a victim reported her vehicle was prowled overnight and had some items stolen.

A theft report was taken Jan. 5 from the 3200 block of West 7th Street after a victim reported her vehicle was prowled overnight and had some items missing.

A hazard tow report was taken Jan. 5 from the 700 block of Laughlin Street after caller reported an abandoned vehicle that was partially blocking a lane of travel.

George Allen Heckathorne, 61, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 5 in the 1000 block of East 9th Street and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

Jay Ryan Stanford, 38, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 5 in the 1400 block of West 6th Street and is accused of two counts of post-prison violations.

Terryn Curtis Lee, 28, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 6 near West 4th and Union streets on local warrants for post-prison violations and two counts of first-degree failure to appear.

A theft report was taken Jan. 6 from the 1900 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported his license plates were stolen.

Wasco County

A found property report was taken Jan. 3 at the sheriff’s office after someone found a weapon in Tygh Valley and turned it in. The gun was reported lost out of Hood River county.

Deputy responded to Maupin Jan. 4 after a caller reported a resident had thrown a cup of coffee at her during an altercation. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

An identity theft report was taken Jan. 4 from the 2100 block of Dry Hollow Road after a victim reported her email was used to purchase items online which she did not authorize.

Brent Michael Emmons, 47, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 4 in the 5800 block of Highway 30 and is accused of mail theft.

Deputy responded to the 6000 block of Eightmile Road Jan. 4 after a caller reported a male subject was on the property which violates a court order. A report was taken.

A found property report was taken Jan. 6 from Sandlin Road after deputy found a cellphone on the roadway while patrolling the area.

A theft report was taken Jan. 6 from the 1000 block of Irvine Street after a victim reported some money was stolen from her home.

Deputy responded to the 4100 block of Chenowith Road Jan. 6 after a caller reported an abandoned vehicle in the area which was blocking one of the entrances to the park. The vehicle was towed and a report was taken.

Oregon State Police

An agency assist report was taken Jan. 4 at the regional jail after assisting Gilliam County with a drug recognition evaluation.

Trooper responded to Highway 97 near milepost 60 Jan. 6 on a report of a vehicle crash. Caller stated a vehicle had gone off the road but he was not able to stop. The vehicle was found abandoned and two local hospitals were checked and no patients had come in stating they were in a vehicle crash. A report was taken and the crash is under investigation.

Sherman County

David Lee Rooney, 42, Wasco, was arrested Jan. 3 in Wasco and is accused of third-degree assault.

Gilliam County

Tanner Ryan Fraser, 26, Madras, was arrested Jan. 4 during a traffic stop and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Steven Jeffrey Young, 25, no listed address, was transported and jailed Jan. 3 after being arrested on a local warrant for first-degree aggravated theft.

Austin Moses Howtopat, 57, Wapato, Wash., was jailed Jan. 4 on a court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Troy Andrew Carlson, 38, Happy Valley, was jailed Jan. 4 on a Sherman County court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

William Raymond Carlson Jr., 51, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 3 in the 2500 block of West 8th Street and is accused of probation violation.

Tiffany Dawn Sullivan, 28, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 3 in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

David James Jacobsen, 36, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 4 in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of post-prison violations.

Matthew Stephen Phillips, 26, The Dalles, was arrested Jan. 4 in the community corrections office and is accused of three counts of post-prison violations.
