Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

May 21, 11:06 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 1400 block of West 6th Street on a report of a fire alarm with water flow. Contact was made with employees who advised the alarm did sound but there was no sign of a leak. The area was checked but no problem was found. The alarm was reset.

Personnel also responded to nine calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Edgar Contreras Garcia, 27, The Dalles, was arrested Thursday morning in the 1700 block of East 19th Street and is accused of three counts of probation violation.

He was also arrested on an out-of-state warrant.

A theft report was taken Thursday morning from the 200 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported her purse was stolen.

Dennis James Spaulding, 53, Hood River, was arrested Thursday morning in the 400 block of West 2nd Street on a warrant for failure to appear.

Robert Andrew Rowan, 30, The Dalles, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 900 block of Irvine Street and is accused of violation of post-prison sanctions, third-degree escape, third-degree theft, and second-degree criminal mischief.

Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Thursday afternoon after a caller reported a runaway subject was inside a store. The juvenile was contacted and lodged at the juvenile facility.

A criminal mischief report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 100 block of West 1st Street.

Wasco County

A runaway report was taken Thursday morning from Dufur after a caller reported two juveniles ran away.

The caller called back later in the morning to report the juveniles returned.

A theft report was taken Thursday morning from the 900 block of Irvine Street after a victim reported a ladder was stolen.

Deputy responded to the 6900 block of Mill Creek Road Thursday evening after a caller reported a vehicle hit a dog and the owner of the dog punched the driver of the vehicle. Contact was made with the subjects involved.

No charges were pursued by the victim, an informational report was taken.

Oregon State Police

Larry Alan Marshall, 63, Wamic, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Tygh Valley on a warrant for contempt of court.

Morgan Thomas Ohms, 31, White Salmon, Wash., was arrested Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop on Bret Clodfelter Way and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Regional Jail

Mary Margaret Urieta, 29, The Dalles, was transported by Klickitat County and jailed Thursday after being arrested on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Parole & Probation

Richard William Branter, 35, The Dalles, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of parole violation.
