Students at Chenowith Elementary will present “Seussical the Musical, Kid,” Friday, Feb. 28, 6:30 p.m. at the school cafeteria and Sunday, March 3, 2 p.m.  Tickets are $4.

It’s not often that modern-day middle-schoolers are willing to embrace ‘80s fashion choices like crimped hair and legwarmers, but The Dalles Middle School’s student cast and crew dive straight in with their performance of the ‘80s pop-rock musical comedy “Xanadu, Jr.”

For its 12th anniversary, the Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour is hosting its first ever preview night, 6-8 p.m., April 11, at the Granada Theater in downtown The Dalles. The 1920’s Art Deco theater officially reopened this year after owners Chuck Gomez and his wife, Debra, finished the renovations they began in July 2017, after becoming the theater’s owners in March of that year.

The Quebe Sisters performed Monday night at The Dalles High School theater, hosted by the Mid-Columbia Community Concert Association.

The Granada Theater in downtown The Dalles has been a visual staple of the town since it was erected in the 1920’s and now, after being closed for the winter following its grand re-opening, the theater is ready to really show off its intensive renovation, which includes two original murals inside the theater.
