Garrett Olson had an all-around game with 18 points, 16 rebounds and five steals and Oscar Thomas swished four 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 21 points in South Wasco County’s 41-31 triumph Friday in Maupin.

The Redsides were on top by a 16-12 edge at the break, but took control in the third quarter with a 15-8 run to put the Cougars away.

Overall, SWC (6-8 overall, 2-5 league) notched 11 field goals, four 3-pointers, and shot 15 of 28 free throws.

Echo tallied 14 field goals, one 3-pointer, and went 2 of 10 from the line, with Devin Craig leading with 13 points.

The Redsides are in Ione for a league game at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, SWC hosts Arlington and then hosts Crane at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21.
